Some properties of dewaxing casting of stainless steel castings
- 2021-12-24-

① Chromium is the main alloy element in stainless steel. Chromium easily produces a bovine oxide film on the surface of molten steel. Titanium steel has a greater tendency to condense film, which reduces the fluidity of molten steel. Wuxi precision casting, but chrome guard can lower the melting point of steel. When the chromium content exceeds 5% to 8%, the solidification time is prolonged and the fluidity is improved. Nickel, manganese and copper can lower the melting point and improve fluidity. Titanium forms a large amount of refractory melting point, which affects the fluidity of molten steel.

②N1 has high chromium content, and chromium oxide film is easily formed on the surface of molten steel during the pouring process, which leads to defects such as oxidation scars, cold barriers, surface wrinkles and inclusions in the castings. The lower the temperature of the molten steel in Wuxi precision casting, the longer the pouring time, and the more serious the oxidation phenomenon. The pouring temperature should be appropriately increased to shorten the pouring time. The pouring temperature of chromium sickle stainless steel castings is generally not less than 1530°C (immersion thermocouple temperature). The section size of the casting pouring system should be 30%~50% larger than the same carbon steel casting. Experience has shown that as the temperature of molten steel increases, the oxide film on the surface of the liquid gradually disappears, and the scars of the castings are significantly reduced.
