1) The shape of the casting should be simple, so that it can be easily removed, and the parting surface of the casting should be as flat as possible, and the number should be the smallest;
2) The inner cavity of the casting should not use or use less core when casting. When the core is used in Guangdong alloy steel casting, it should be convenient to support, fix and exhaust sand. If necessary, sufficient process holes should be provided;
3) For structures such as the inner and outer sides of the casting and the reinforcement ribs, a certain structural inclination should be provided in the drawing direction;
4) The boss part of the Guangdong alloy steel casting should not be too different from the casting body. It is better to take the same height, and several bosses on the same surface with relatively close distance, it is best to connect the integral convex part.
2. To reduce the tendency to produce casting defects:
1) The wall thickness of the casting should be uniform to prevent shrinkage and hot cracking. When the sequential solidification conditions are required, the wall thickness should be changed in one direction as much as possible. When the simultaneous solidification conditions are required, try to use It has a constant section wall thickness;
2) The connection between the casting wall and the wall should be strictly prevented from sharp corners and metal accumulation, the thick wall and the thin wall should be gradually transitioned, and mutations should be strictly prevented, so as to avoid hot joints and stress concentration, thermal cracks, shrinkage porosity, etc.;
3) The partial thick section of the casting should adopt the hollowed out or cast hole structure as far as possible, and should be properly reinforced with reinforcing ribs;
4) For casting holes on the flat wall of castings, Guangdong carbon steel casting should be reinforced with convex edges to reduce wall thickness;
5) The structure of the casting should be as far as possible so that it can shrink without hindrance when it is cooled;
6) Guangdong carbon steel casting should try to avoid large horizontal planes in the castings;
7) Large-area interlayer cavities such as water passages and gas passages in castings should have several connecting posts.
3. It is necessary to ensure that the Guangdong carbon steel castings have good formability, and the minimum wall thickness of the control castings is not lower than the allowable value.
