How to prevent the deformation of precision casting?

The common deformation problem in precision casting is actually caused by forging stress, and the main cause of precision casting deformation is thermal stress. The uneven thin thickness of the precision casting structure results in inconsistent cooling shrinkage of each part, slow cooling (thick wall pipe and inner layer), residual tensile stress; fast cooling (thick wall and surface layer), residual compressive stress. When the precision casting is under stress, it tries to transition from this unstable state to a stable state, so that it can automatically complete the deformation, thereby reducing the internal stress.

Let's take a look at the factors that are difficult to deform in precision casting:

First of all, the structural design of precision castings is unscientific and the wall thickness is uneven;

The cooling is not good and the cold shrinkage is uneven. Therefore, how to take measures to avoid or reduce the deformation problems in precision casting? Let's sort it out for everyone, the main points are as follows.

1. Change the structure to make it as symmetrical as possible, and change the wall thickness as slowly as possible.

2. Change the cooling method so that each position is cooled as evenly as possible.

3. Improve the structure of precision castings or add stiffened plates to produce craft ribs.

4. Improve pouring equipment settings.

5. Set the position of the inner gate scientifically and rationally, reduce the temperature difference of each part, and avoid the pouring equipment when closing, which is a mutual problem with precision castings.
