2. Scraper: also known as trowel. It is the most widely used tool in repairing. There are flat, pointed and round heads. It is mainly used to repair the larger surface of the molding sand (core), excavate the riser, and cut Open grooves and cast ribs, trim the sand blanks and soft and hard sand beds, and lift the reinforcing nails on the surface of the sand mold into the sand mold.
3. Pressing spoon: used to trim the smaller surface of the sand mold cavity and set up a pouring system. It has an arc-shaped surface at one end and a flat surface at the other end, and the inclination of the spoon handle is 30 degrees. Commonly used are standard pressing spoon, single-head pressing spoon and double-head pressing spoon.
4. Lift hook: also known as sand hook and tie hook. It is mainly used to repair the deep and narrow bottom and side walls of the sand mold (core), and to extract the sand scattered in the deep and narrow parts of the cavity. 7. Hammer hook: also known as round head, used to trim round, arc-shaped grooves, flange surfaces, etc., with a wide range of applications.
8. Flange hook: also known as flange stem, used to trim the deep and narrow arc surface of the sand mold (core), the narrow side of the flange at both ends of pipe castings, etc.
9. Forming trowel: Forming trowel is a set of trowels, including right-angle photons, egg-round photons, front and back corners, etc. Its working surface has various shapes, small volume and convenient operation. It is mainly used to trim the rounded, square, round and curved surfaces of the smooth sand mold cavity.
10. Hand winder: also known as Pi Shanjun, a commonly used tool for craftsmanship, it is used to blow away the sand scattered in the cavity. Do not use too much force or touch the sand mold to avoid damage to the sand mold.
11. Core support: also known as clay core support, cast card, brace, support iron, support head, core clamp, core top, cast top, I-shaped card, I-shaped brace, and cast nail. The shape of the core support: The shape of the core support should be selected according to the shape, size, assembly method and operating conditions of the sand core. The ends of the core support are made into larger supporting surfaces. Double-pillar core supports are generally used to support larger sand cores, single-pillar core supports are used for medium-sized sand cores, small castings are commonly used for thin-sheet core supports because of faster cooling, and single-sided core supports are generally used for green sand to support the core. One end of the surface is attached to the sand core, and the other end is pressed against a stronger support outside the cavity.
The requirements of the core support: the core support must be fused with the casting, and the core support is required to be made of metal with the same composition as the casting. The outer surface of the core support should be clean, free of rust and oil, and be treated with anti-rust, and the outer surface should be zinc or tin.
The placement of the core support: the height of the double-sided core support is the wall thickness of the casting, that is, the interval between the cavity and the sand core. Although the wall thickness of the casting in the casting is regular on the drawings, in practice production, because of various The reason is often revenue and expenditure. If it is necessary to set up a core support, its height should be the practical interval between the sand core and the sand mold; The strength and hardness are low, and it is necessary to choose a core support with a larger contact surface to prevent the core support from being pressed into the molding sand. When single-sided core support is used, one end of the core support column should rest on a solid support. The core support must be placed firmly to avoid moving or falling. If there is a gap, it should be plugged tightly with a core support sheet. The core support sheet should be placed on the inside and outside of the cavity. The supporting surface of the core support should fit the surface of the cavity or sand core, and the core support should be strong and reliable when placed on the inclined surface. There should be a sufficient number of core supports and they should be evenly distributed. The core support cannot be put into the cavity prematurely to prevent the condensation of moisture on its surface and cause the castings to have shortcomings such as porosity.
