Today I will share with you what is dewaxing casting:

Dewaxing casting is one of the glass processing and forming methods. The key to the whole process is to heat the glass to a high temperature to make it flowable and inject it into a pre-made mold. Because the mold shell is made by heating the resin to absorb the wax mold, it is called dewaxing casting. Because glass containing lead monoxide (alias artificial crystal) has the same high refractive index as a diamond and high circulation at high temperatures, forged glass often uses artificial crystal as the material. In the current Chinese market,The dewaxed cast lead crystal products are generally called sulphur glass. The dewaxing casting method can be used to produce complex and exquisite artwork.

Dewaxing precision casting method The dewaxing casting process is based on the development trend of casting technology in ancient times. So far5000Many years ago, at the end of the Neolithic Age, ancient Chinese craftsmen generally used the lost wax casting process in the production of copperware. Based on the ductility of liquid paraffin and the characteristics of hot volatiles, the craftsmen at that time first hand-carved the liquid paraffin into the necessary wax mold, then encased the clay in the wax mold and pre-embed a small hole, and then burned after drying. The wax mold is vaporized and evaporated, and the clay becomes a porcelain shell, and the female mold of the wax mold is left on the inner wall of the shell. At this time, the molten metal is introduced into the shell along the small round hole, and the shell is freed after cooling to obtain the required metal casting billet. The basic principles of contemporary lost wax casting technology are the same, but more complicated and sophisticated. The key is reflected in the stricter regulations on the precise positioning of wax models. The wax model obtained in contemporary processing technology is not only the immediate manual engraving of the wax, but also the female mold based on the silicone molding of the metal original mold (plate), and then the wax model can be obtained by injecting wax from the silicone female mold. The raw material for casting is no longer clay, but instead forged plaster of paris. Such products are much more detailed than castings in ancient times.
